I should have known better than to upgrade my Apple software...

I've always had problems upgrading my apple software. First the upgrade to my ipod video caused my movies to stall and downright quit working properly. I had to reverse it to its original manufacturing firmware to get things back to normal (and haven't upgraded since). My next problem occured when I had first upgraded my itunes software. It became quite the resource hog afterwards causing me to quit using it completely for some time until the next version/update was released.

I should have learned my lesson after that and opte
d to not update my itunes ever again if I wasn't having any problems to begin with or forced to. I should have turned off that upgrade available window that pops up every time I loaded up itunes. Yet, without thinking about how much of a crapshoot they are, I clicked on that update button and upped my itunes from 7 to 7.2 yesterday.

Once again I run into another problem. For some reason I couldn't run any other programs while I was playing itunes; otherwise it started stalling repeatedly. At first I didn't recall my bad experience with Apples crappy updates and thought something was wrong with my firefox. It took a minute of me staring at my screen and asking myself what I changed recently that might be causing this problem before it finally clicked.

I wanted to punch myself in the nuts for realizing what I did. I should have known better.

Thank god I found a site that offered previous version of itunes for us, apparently, sad XP users who like ipods.

So um..yeah. Don't update your itunes to 7.2 if you don't need to.
